We are a basic research lab investigating a variety of mechanisms involved in chronic neuropathic pain.  Our team is most interested in understanding how neuroimmune crosstalk and sex differences can influence chronic pain.  Currently, we are particularly focused on evaluating the use of cannabinoids (phyto and synthetic) as analgesic agents.  Our laboratory has a history of investigating the biology of cancer cell mitochondrial function, particularly in the context of bone metastasis and cancer pain. More recently, our focus has shifted to studying neuropathic pain.
