We are a basic research lab investigating a variety of mechanisms involved in breast and prostate cancer metabolism and the generation of cancer symptoms. We are most interested in understanding how cancer cells lead to changes in the body - a process that we call oncodynamics - and in particular we focus on the symptoms of cancer-induced pain and cancer-induced depression. Our laboratory has a long history of investigation into the biology of cancer cell mitochondrial functions with a particular focus on bone metastasis.
