Dr. Gurmit Singh is Associate Chair of Research and Professor of Pathology in Molecular Medicine at McMaster University and Senior Scientist in Hamilton Health Sciences.    

His research interests include experimental therapeutics in breast and prostate cancer, with an emphasis in cancer-induced pain and neuropathic pain. He serves on a number of national and international scientific review panels that include CIHR, NCIC, CFI, and the U.S. Army and Naval panels. In addition, he is an external grant reviewer for several research foundations and belongs to many associations including the Canadian Pain Society, the International Association for the Study of Pain and the American Association for the Advancement of Science. He also serves on the editorial board of several scientific journals.  He is a member of the Michael G. DeGroote Institute for Pain Research and Care.
